Volunteers Serving Woodbridge Proper and Sewaren Since 1897

At 13:33 on Sunday, Jan 15 we were dispatched to reports of flames coming from the roof of 738 Cricket Lane. The first arriving units found the fire venting from a second-floor window. Crews quickly got water on the fire holding it to the room of origin, preventing the spread of fire into the common attic space of the apartment building. Woodbridge was assisted by Avenel truck 5-2-5, Colonia truck 12-2-1, Fords engine 7-1, Port Reading engine 2-2, Hopelawn Rescue 8 (RIT), Iselin 9-3-4 (air), and engines from Perth Amboy and Edison. Woodbridge EMS and the Woodbridge CERT team also responded.
